ly words can often be deleted

Many adverbs end in ly, so use Ctrl + F to bring up the Find box. Type in ly and Word will highlight them. 

Adverbs are either crucial or unnecessary to the meaning of a sentence. Here are some deletable ones.

Too many adverbs add fluff and emotionality

We will thoroughly examine all applications before we officially announce the results publicly to all candidates.

Example of emotional adverbs

You repeatedly and carelessly ignored the instructions, which unnecessarily caused delays for the entire team.
